The articles presented to the reader’s attention were prepared based on the results of the conference “Second Proceedings in memory of I.V. Yatsenko”. The proceedings took place on December 17–18, 2021 at the Faculty of History of Moscow State University on the basis of the Department of Archeology. The conference was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Irina Vladimirovna Yatsenko - an outstanding scientist, Scythologist and antiquist, a wonderful teacher, creator of an authoritative scientific school, associate professor of the Department of Archeology, Faculty of History, Moscow State University (“The first Proceedings in memory of I.V. Yatsenko” took place in 2016 and were dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the birth of Irina Vladimirovna).

“Second Proceedings in memory of I.V. Yatsenko" were held in a face-to-face and remote format. The theme of the conference was determined by the wide sphere of scientific interests of Irina Vladimirovna Yatsenko: from the late Bronze Age to the end of the Sarmatian era, from the Mediterranean and Black Sea region to the Far East, with an emphasis on Scythology and classical studies, as well as interdisciplinary research. During the conference 34 reports by researchers from Russia, Germany and South Korea were heard. These are archaeologists and historians, including students of I.V. Yatsenko (scythologists, sarmatologists, antiquists, Caucasian scholars, specialists in the Bronze and Early Iron Ages), as well as chemists, physicists and biologists. The conference participants represented 20 different scientific, educational and museum institutions, namely: Moscow State University (Faculty of History, Faculty of Chemistry, Zoological Museum, Sevastopol Branch of Moscow State University), Russian State University for the Humanities, Higher School of Economics, Stroganov Moscow State Academy of Arts and Industry, Moscow State Regional University, Southern Federal University, Crimean Federal University, Institute of Archeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Southern Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Archeology of the Crimea of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of History, Language and Literature of the Ufa Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Research Institute of Cultural and Natural Heritage, National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Korea, State Hermitage Museum, State Historical Museum, State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, Yalta Historical and Literary Museum, Kubanarchaeology LLC, Prodis NDT company.
